Pip and Jo have over 30+ years of experience working as Primary School Teachers and Senior Leaders, in both London and Brighton schools. In addition, both are qualified Wild Beach School Leaders Level 3, awarded Level 3 by The Sussex Wildlife Trust, the nationally recognised benchmark for Beach School in the UK.
As Qualified Beach School Leaders, Pip and Jo run well organised, highly informed and fun sessions, with attention to safety and links to wellbeing and the National Curriculum. Pip and Jo are both DBS checked and qualified Outdoor First Aiders.
In 2018, Jo set up a highly successful Forest School for the Brighton Primary School in which she teaches. Jo is passionate about sustainability and climate change and is currently working with many schools across East Sussex to embed environmental education into the whole curriculum.
Alongside teaching, Pip runs a successful and exciting Beach school for Years 1 to 6 in Windlesham School. Pip has also introduced philosophy and creative thinking models in her school and is always striving to ensure all children are able to access this wider and more varied curriculum.
Both Pip and Jo are mothers of teenagers, passionate about living life to the full and active members of a Wild Swim Group, swimming through winters since 2017. Both love the outdoors, spending any opportunity in the countryside and next to water.
