Our Beach School sessions are delivered locally at Ovingdean Beach

Ovingdean at Low tide

Ovingdean beach has rock pools at low tide and offers children to opportunity of discovering and identifying sea creatues.

This beach is accessible from Brighton by local buses numbers 5,14 and 27. The 27 bus also stop sat Brighton staion if you are coming form further afield. Your destination stop is called GREENWAYS. A group ticket may be purchased for a class (approximately £4 per child return). Currently Brighton and Hove are offering free bus travel for all Primary aged children.

In addition, Service 52 runs all the way between Woodingdean and Patcham via Ovingdean, Brighton Marina, County Hospital, Kemptown, Old Steine, Brighton Station (morning & evening peak services only), London Road, Fiveways, Hollingbury and Patcham. The Big Lemon operates Service 52 on a contract with Brighton & Hove City Council. The service operates daily except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

All Brighton Beach School sessions are subject to weather conditions. If the Beach School leaders deem the weather or tide unsafe the session will be cancelled or postponed.
